1.1 Building block of geometry continued

1. Do Now: A think-pair-share. Make a Frayer Model of "Congruent Segments." Remember the Frayer model we made for "point." The word or phrase goes in the middle, the around it are the definition, characterisics, example and non-example. Look at page 31 in the text book.

2. Direct Instruction on geometry symbols.

3. Distribute cm graph paper. Do problems 7 and 12, 15, 16 and 17 on page 33. Try to fit every question on one sheet.

Do now: Think-Pair-Share: What are the three building blocks of geometry? Please read page 28 in your textbook. Talk with you partner and think: Are there any other "building blocks" to geometry? Does anyone know another word we can use for "building block?"
